Mate, those rope chin ups were awesome, that was a crazy amount of reps for a first attempt. Damn good all round really.  How are your forearms and thumbs today?

Cheers mate, helps that I'm currently only weighing in at around 85kg though lol.

They feel fine today, I could feel it after though, but they loosened off after my shower. It didn't bother my thumbs too much tbf, it was the fingers were I could really feel it more. They would go into a bit of a 'spasm' after each set, and I would have to give them a good wriggle around and stretch after lol.

Instead of selling the rope, you could fix it to your beams in the garage as one long length and then do no feet Rope climbs.

Interestingly, I actually found rope chins and a few other rope variations of things I did quite ergonomically friendly for me.... so long as grip holds out

Great news on the test levels obviously you do better on a blend do you reckon its down to a slower release test compound and therefore not spiking things like estrogen?

Its the reason I am going to do subcutaneous injections over intramuscular as supposedly they break down slower and give a steady absorption rate.

You feeling better now then?

Beautiful pullups mate!

Hopefully the missus gets the bug too mate. That is the path to a bigger and better home gym setup!

I reckon you could sell those ropes on ebay.... but from the sounds of it loads of people have them lying about too lol.

Friday 15/02/19, 1+ Week

Deadlifts
70 x 10
110 x 5
150 x 5
170 x 3
190 x 4

Shrugs
160 x 3x10

Squats
70 x 10
100 x 8
120 x 5

Upright Rows
50 x 3x8
...superset with...
Ab wheel rollouts
BW x 3x5

Decided against increasing the weight on the deadlifts in the end. Earlier in the week I was tempted to try the 215/220 as deads had been feeling strong, but on the day I decided to stick with the 190 and just go for reps. Didn't want to risk another fail or potential injury, as I know form would have probably gone out the window if I had tried.
The 190's felt solid though, pretty happy with 4 reps. My 1RM calculator has has been giving me a 1RM of around 210kg for each of my deadlift sessions (170 x 8, 180 x 6, 190 x 4) so I've been consistent. Each time I've prob had another rep in there if I had really pushed it so I'm fairly confident the 220 is there, or soon anyway.

Saturday 16/02/19

Military Press
bar x 20
40 x 5
60 x 5
72.5 x 4, 3, 3, 3
60 x 5
bar x 20

Dumbbell Fly
10 x 12, 10, 8

Standing Calf Raise (machine)
160 x 12, 10, 8, 6, 6
120 x 12
80 x 12

T Bar Row
40 x 12
50 x 10
55 x 6
40 x 10

Triceps Extension (machine)
30 x 20
40 x 16
45 x 12
50 x 8
55 x 5
30 x 10

Military press wasn't the 4x4 as planned. Quite pleased that I got the 4 reps in on the first set, but following sets after only the 3 reps each time. Kind of expected this anyway, and I'm glad I got 3 reps at least for the other sets as it means that a 3x3 was definitely in the bag, so next time I can still increase the weight and switch to 3x3.

I am impressed at the grinding effort on the presses, really stay with it and locked in which isn't easy going OH IMO. Solid lifting all round.

You’re hitting quite high reps for 531 (170 x 8, 180 x 6, 190 x 4).

If you’re getting 3 extra reps consistently each session, you need to up the weight. You don’t have to go for a PB tho. This is why 5,3,1 is so slow for gains when run on Single weekly workouts.

When’s the blast starting ??

Sorry mate I missed this yesterday. I am not sure why the blend is working better, but rather than get bogged down by loads of researching into the many 'what ifs' it could be, I'm just going to put it down as being an underdosed batch. I will see how the blend goes on this next blast before putting it down to things like estrogen spikes etc...

I'm sticking my IM atm as I'm back on a blast, but just put my order in for some new pins and syringes, so I've also ordered some 26g x 13mm for doing SubQ on my cruise.

Yep feeling better in general at the moment. Woop de doooooooo.

Cheers. I love a good grind, its something I'm getting quite good at with my pressing for some reason, I just seem to make sure I've got nothing left lol. I'm not so good at grinding squats out though, I need to improve on that one.

Yes but I wasn't expecting to hit those reps, like I said I had a strong couple of weeks, down to the T400 I'm guessing. I've been eating around maintenance/slight deficit as well and lost a couple of kg's a so I was even more surprised.
Weight has been upped this week, and blast started this week as well, first jab was last night, 600mg a week (300mg mon/thurs). Bring it on.

Monday 18/02/19, week 1

Squats
70 x 5
100 x 5
107.5 x 5
125 x 5
140 x 7

Bench
bar x 20
50 x 5
72.5 x 5
82.5 x 5
95 x 6

Bench Pin Press
60 x 5
70 x 5
80 x 5
90 x 5

Rope Pull Ups
BW x 6x4

531 doubled up is officially underway. Squats moved well. I had to calculate my weights with my phone as I forgot to put my new training max in my spreadsheet before printing, and I rounded my top working set down instead of up, so I squatted 140, instead of 142.5, which may be why I got 7 reps lol. I did really push it though which is what I'm aiming to do over the next 8 weeks.
Bench was calculated correctly, and I hit 6 paused reps with good form, no more in the tank. But this was a rep PB at this weight so pleased.

Rope pull ups hurt this time lol. I have no idea how I managed 10 reps on my first ever go last week now, as my fingers were hurting from being crushed as soon as I started the reps. So after hitting 6 reps on my first set I decided to try and get 4x6, which I did. Thumbs still ok, it was my wedding ring finger on both hands that was feeling the brunt of it. I'd imagine its a bit like getting used to the hook grip though, will get better with time. Great finisher though still.

Mrs's first day in my gym yesterday as well. She seemed ok with it, got her doing squats, db rows and bench. Nice and simple. Her squat technique is awful, mainly due to mobility, but it will come if she keeps at it. Started her with just BW squats and then with a broom handle to keep used to set up. Rows were obviously an easy one for her, but she enjoyed bench. She used my empty EZ bar for them which was better as I didn't have to keep removing weights, but also because she had at least some resistance so she could feel it working. Next time will be deadlifts, ohp and pull ups, then that's all 6 areas covered each a week.

Got some extra stuff on at work atm, so will try and get a look in over everyone's journals if I can.

The 190 deads moved very comfortably - whats next weeks weight/rep plan going to be on them?
Great press/squats as well mate.

I take my wedding ring off everytime I train - mixture of not wanting it to interfere with lifts and also not cause any damage to the ring as welll

Cheers Jay. Deadlifts this week start with top working sets of 180 for 5+ reps, then 190 for 3+ reps, then 200 for the 1+ reps. Then a deload session, and then increase again.

I don't wear my wedding ring anyway, I never have, just don't get on with wearing rings. I just said 'wedding ring finger' to describe which finger it was lol.

Do you chalk up for the rope work? There will always be some finger crushing I'm afraid, I remember it well and no it doesn't get that much easier to tolerate but chalking up well helps to stop it all slipping together
