Not sure what I'm gonna do at the moment mate. I need a car for work so need to sort something out. I've been borrowing my dads car for the last week and I've got a feeling he might just let me keep it. However, I hate having to use my parents help me out, I'm 32 and shouldn't need bailing out. But this time I might just have to swallow my pride and take what help I can get. It is a great car though, 2004 Focus, which he has had from new so I know its been looked after. Good mileage for its age as well, it will hit 100k miles today for me on the drive home lol.

I've got at 05 CR-V that's not hit 90 yet. Sucks tho, mate, but if you've never gone running to your folks for help there nothing to feel guilty about in using it when you need it... and they wouldn't do it if they couldn't do it (and I'm sure they know you're honestly in need rather than scamming them)

Sucks about the car. Time to get a nice little reliable A-B. Get yourself a 4 cylinder. I drive a 2002 Nissan pulsar and it is golden. Toyota camrys are also good. Avoid the shiny badges and avoid the price tags! These older cars are plentiful and that means cheap parts.

Training going well though mate. How is the nipple?

Nipple seems fine. I think it was just down to me itching all over, I may have caught it scratching which made it feel a bit more tender than normal. I will keep checking though and only take Tamoxifen again if it feels sensitive or lumpy. I don't wanna be taking extra meds if I don't need them.

Sorry to hear about the car mate.  Sounds like your parents have got your back, I know that sort of thing feels wrong and hurts our delicate male pride.  Chin up though mate, it will all turn out ok in the end even though it feels rubbish right now. There's nowt wrong with a good old reliable workhorse.  It was a tiny roller skate of a car but I had a little 107 for 4 years, it was cheap as chips and got the job done.

I'm working away on site tomorrow, so I've had to borrow one of the works pool cars for the weekend as you're not allowed to use your own for anything work related. Its a 3yr old Mondeo Estate, but what a nice car, I forgot how great they are to drive, so smooth, for such a big car they handle amazingly, better than my BMW. I might not give it back lol.

I've owned two Mondeos on the past, and they were such nice cars to drive, its a shame that I had such bad luck with the second one, which kinda put me off getting another. But tbh the one I had was just a dodgy car, they are super reliable most of the time.

I think when funds allow I will be getting another Mondy lol. Gonna take me a while tho I think.

I have an 06 vectra that is on its way out. Making all sorts of funny electrical sounds, like the indicators make a weird tone, the same when you open the door with the light on. All sounds like a distorted tone. I think its just damp inside but I have put over 30000 on it in the 2 years I have had it so think it might be on the way out.

MOT next month...if it fails I will need another banger

Friday 30/11/18 - Week 4

Deadlifts
70 x 10
110 x 5
150 x 3
180 x 2, 1
200 x 2
165 x 5x3

DB Incline bench
12 x 20
34 x 10
36 x 8, 6

Squats
70 x 5
110 x 2
130 x 6x2

Deadlifts didn't feel as good today for some reason, form felt slightly off, I felt like I was leaning forward a bit too far and wasn't engaging the lats properly. I got the work done though. Intensity goes down and volume goes up a bit from next week so I will hopefully correct it then.

DB's moved well, as did the squats. I do enjoy the squats on friday as its always just the 6 doubles at the 130kg, and they seem to feel a bit easier each week, although they are still testing after a big deadlift session.

Nice work again, I can't offer any advice on your deadlift form though as mine leaves alot to be desired itself. I know what you mean by engaging the lats though!

Good session though and extra points for deadlifting before squats. I would not be able to do it that way round!

They probably don't look as bad as they feel, I don't think the form was terrible, just didn't feel as locked in as normal.

Working away on site again this week. I demanded the hotel they booked had a gym lol. This one appears to have a semi decent gym, so I'm praying that they have a rack of some sort for my squats tonight, and enough plates of course. You never know with these hotel gyms. As long as I get my squats done, I'm happy, as this is the 6x6 week, so pretty important.

I'm hoping to be able to get more site work soon, and if I do then a payasyougym membership or similar will definitely be my best bet. Will look into it if and when I have to.

Cheers mate, if the deadlift king approves, then it was clearly a good lift lol.

Those deads looked pretty solid mate.  I dod know what you mean about pulling forward, I've had that a few times, like you say it's about lats.  The bar drifts away slightly and forces you to push through the toes.

Tuesday 04/12/18 - Week 5

Squats
45 x 10
65 x 10
85 x 8
105 x 6
115 x 6, 6
95 x 8
75 x 10

Close Grip Bench
45 x 10
65 x 6
82.5 x 2x5

Lat Pull Down
63.5 x 12
70.3 x 8
77.1 x 6
79.4 x 4
83.9 x 4
43.1 x 12

Well it turns out the hotel gym was a bit crap. As soon as I checked in I went straight to the gym to check it out, and I couldn't see a rack of any sort. Asked the girl behind the desk and she pointed to bar and some squat stands tucked away in the corner. I must have looked like a bit of an arse asking tbh as it is only a 'health club' full of fuddy duddy's, but I didn't care, I have a plan, and I hate breaking away from a plan lol. I'm staying here 2 nights so this weeks workouts will need to be re-jigged to suit.

I did a quick google to see if there were any other gyms nearby that would be suitable, but nothing really came up apart from 1 which was about a 10min drive. Trouble is I didn't drive here, my colleague did, and I can't borrow his car just to go to the gym, it has to be work related. A taxi wouldn't be worth the cost so just had to lump it out and try the squat stands.

They were sh1t. I had them on the highest setting I could get away with which made them even more unstable, the bar was only 6ft so I had to have them in narrower than I would have liked. I built up the weight slowly to see how it would go but the higher the weight the more dodgy it felt, even a bloke watching me said that the stands didn't look up to much. I stopped increasing the weight at 115kg, it simply wasn't worth risking injury or dropping the weight on the floor if I got stuck. I got some quality reps in though, all with good form. Just dissapointed that I couldn't attempt the 6x6 @ 130kg. Its an important week this one, if I hit this then I should be set up nicely for a new PB. I will now move my heavy squat session to fridays workout, and deadlift will be done on the saturday instead.

I managed to do CG Bench after without too much issue, although I didn't push myself to failure on the reps this time due to no spotter. The stands did have spotter rails on them, but they were tiny and pretty useless tbh, I set them to a height but there was no locking pins, just a thumb screw, which wasn't strong enough. As soon as you put any weight on the spotters they just slid down. Pointless. So chances are tomorrows bench session will have to stay light as well, unless I find someone to spot me. Judging by the few people I saw in the gym today that will be unlikely.

Lat Pull down was a nice change though to be fair, and all the machines were all pretty much brand new looking so it moved very smoothly. The weights stack was in pounds hence the odd kg's. I left it there, I did some situps back in my room though lol.

Never got chance to video my squats, but I did get a quick shot of the bench setup, just so you can see how crap the stands are.
