HIIT on 5x5?

whats the best approach? i dont want to overtrain so im thinking 2 HIIT sessions a week? Mass is hard to come by for me so burning it is not an option.

What days should i structure the split:

mon = weights
tue = HIIT
wed = weights

and so on??

Im gonna have to adjust my diet too, im currently taking in 4500 cals at a bodyweight of 215 and gaining slowly still, 1 lb a week if im lucky! what do you think??? i know calorie intake doesnt run to an formula but a figure to work with?? 3500 cals a day??

any advice is welcome so i get this right!

    Well... It's good to do SOME HITT but don't prioritise them. Try it twice a week... But not much more.
