I am currently commencing a bulking cycle, but i want to keep gains as lean as poss. My diet is very clean...it has been posted in the diet forum and amended after advice from some mods.
I am going to do a 4 day weights split and on another 2 days i was going to do some cardio. I was going to do some HIIT, i want to use the treadmill and rower mostly at the gym... and up till now i have been doing them as interval training. this is how my training has been.
treadmill total of 12mins. Alternating between 10kph and 17kph every 30 secs.
Then onto rower doing 1 min sprints followed by 30secs rest for a total of 10 intervals.
Treadmill run 2k
Stepper 30 floors
Treadmill run 1.5k
Stepper 20 floors
Treadmill run 1k
Stepper 15 floors
this is done with as little break as poss trying to keep the heart rate up.....
I have also done some 5k running and rowing occasionally to mix it up...
What would you suggest changing to make this more like HIIT or should i stick at this for now??
Any suggestions would be most appreciated..
