Wellmate , the goodthing is thet people compete at every level and many weight classes - and at the end of the day you are only out to better yourself - a podium place is fantastic but a PB is sweet as a nut !!!

At the start just introduce the big 3 into your routine - try and get good form and work from there. there are loads of vids in this section or my website also world class vids @ www.ironmind.com

there are a page full of usefull links...once again on my website (www.deadlift.co.uk)

there are differernt federations that hold events - im competing in september in birmingham, should be fun.

for me,powerlifting gives some direction to my training.

Great post by Johnny. If there's two points to take away, its the two above.

There really is nothing like competition.

Another great thing about is there's ALWAYS room for improvement. Being good in your respective weight class comes from consistency, determination, intellect to some degree and learning what works for you....Come on aboard the club

well lucky for you powerlifting has weight classes so you will be only against people your own body weight.
I would try and find some other plers to train with if pl is some thing you wish to take up.
