Hand Wraps or Undergloves

I can't get on with hand wraps.

I usually wrap my hands prior to Muay Thai training ie before the warmup.

If after the warmup, we don't go straight to wearing gloves and instead concentrate on legs, then I find that the wraps get caught up in the velcro of the Thai and belly pads meaning I have to wrap my hands again PITA!!!

I have therefore purchased some undergloves, which of course perform the same function as wraps, but are much easier to put on, stay on and take off.  They seem to protect my hand and wrist adequately too.

So, I'm a underglove covert.

What do you prefer wraps or undergloves and why?

Can i ask what make of undergloves you both tried?  I read a review of Everlast ones and they didnt seem to offer great wrist support and were a struggle to get on under certain makes of gloves. I use Twins and they have quite a small hand compartment.

Didn't know Twins made undergloves as I probably would have gone for those as I have a pair of 16oz Twins boxing gloves.

I bought the undergloves as per the link:

I just re-read your post, it appears I should be apologising for not reading it properly in the 1st place.

I've never worn undergloves. In fact this is the first time I've heard of them.

If that's them in the link then I'd be surprised if they can compete with wraps for hand protection.

I've used both, but like others have mentioned wraps can give superior wrist support, i find the gloves don't go back over the wrists and up the forearms far enough for my liking, might be a good product to develop!  But could already be out there.

There are some you can get that have a piece of wrap attached to give you that extra wrist security.

The ones I have seem to offer good support and they're a lot less fiddly than wraps.
