Handed my notice in today

Handed my notice in today and was escorted off site. aAfter 2 years service and bringing in alot of money to them. Including helping the boss hit his half yearly target with one 96K deal.

Man this has pissed me off.

Loads of people are emailing me asking why i didn't say hello

Escorting you off seems a bit harsh, did you kick up a stink or something?

how much notice did you have to give, if you handed it in today and they escorted you off the site, thye can't be expecting you to actually work your notice.

if you are in sales mate then it is the norm just in case you take any details of any clients etc with you. I take it they want you to go on "gardening leave"?

yeah talk about a dog eat dog or should that be dog pisses on dog world!

You work your arse off and pull all the stops out for your boss to hit HIS targets not yours and in return they either do every little or nothing as a thank you!

Whatever happened to gratitude and i scratch your back you scratch mine! But they do say there is no Mr. Nice Guy in the world of business!

I have a story for you, i use to work for a company, working 80-90 weeks literally giving myy bloody, sweat and tear for this company to get there product made for there deadline. All the Staff have been under the illusion that the company works on a low overturn so there is not a lot of profit but if we turned out the product before the deadline there would be some bonuses going! so we pumped out the product and finished the order well before the deadline and guess what....no bonus....well not to bother at least the bosses didn't make any money out of it either....WRONG

The weekend after we finished the order the boss invited us to his house for a BBQ to say thanks for the hard work...pretty nice thought! well it wasn't a BBQ to thank us for the hard work! it was a BBQ to thank us for the hard work we did so the extra money that was left was enough for the boss to buy a summer house in ITALY!!!! I was F'ing fuming and quit on monday!

Yes this is the norm in most sales jobs. I did kind of expect it. The reason for the post was merely to get it off my chest.

I am now on 800 nicker a month better off in my basic salary and 2% richer on the coms front. Gardening leave is going well.Bit of fishing here 2 hour sessions in the gym there.

ready to start the new role.

    Cheers guys

Let my job yesterday to go semi- self employed, so to speak.

If they cannot spot quality and quickly promote it, then so be it! LOL

Trident out of interest what line of busienss are you in?

I think about becoming self employed or semi self employment a lot. I'm sick of paying so called 'researchers' shed loads of money to write reports that I could write in a weekend.
