Handwashing after the loo

Can't remember who told me this recently but it was suggested to me that we all should really wash our hands BEFORE we go to the loo. At the time I dismissed this as I've always done it AFTER the loo. However, I'm beginning to wonder if this is wise advice. Just think of all the things we touch before we arrive at work, for example. Keys, handrails, food, hole in the wall machines, etc etc all touched by others before we use them plus ink on hands from newspapers....

Just think of how many things we actually touch from waking up time to arriving at work - makes an impressive list!

Hmmm...worth a thought? (although I've survived so far - lol!)

Cheers

Thats true le Catt, or another one is the handle on the door of mens toilets, loads of different types of urine etc.

One easy way around the problem with the free muchies is to have a popcorn or peanut dispenser.

You're right Le Catt cos it's been pointed out to me umpteen times that most guys in pubs don't wash their hands after the loo then place their hands in them open bowls of nuts/popcorns left on some bars......

And as Dan Nukem says them dispensers are a good idea and a far safer bet........ calling Health & Safety!!!

it would be nice if others also washed their hands tho. all too often i see others walk out of the work toilets without washing their hands, opening 2 doors by the handle that i will also have to use after i have washed my hands.

I dont wash my hands after going to the loo but if theres any drips or spalsh back on me fingers, i wipe em off on me trouser before handling nuts and popcorn etc

Depends what im doing tbh, i like to keep and very high standard of personal hygene so if my hands are black and oily/greasy from work then they get washed first, if im home and/or out away from work they get washed after

Shouldnt the first thing you do once you have been is wash your hands and then flush. Also did anyone see a programme where some lady was drinking other peoples urine saying it was purified. I know I have had a bottle of pils but I definately saw this.

I think I am the only person who washes their hands in my gym. I just don't feel right if I haven't given them a rinse even though I'm going to be touching dirtys bars and plates.

What do blokes do after taking a slash & possibly p1ssing all over their hands? Turn on the taps.

What do other blokes do after they've washed their hands? Turn off the taps.

Im big on hygiene and yes, I wash my hands before and after I use the loo.

I think people with low hygiene standards are truely disgusting.

always wash my hands. I think its been proved that washing your hands regularly reduce the chance of infections like the cold. I always wash my hands after the gym. I mean after handling sweating DBs and weight plates, yuk. No way am I gonna get in my car and touch my steering wheel with minging hands.

When I was a chemistry student at university we were always told "A good chemist washes his hands before and after going to the toilet."
When you consider the substances we handled in chemistry practicals it's good advice.
Now I work in medical laoratories the habit is even more necessary.
