Has being "big" made you more confident?
Do you feel more confident now that your "big" rather than when you were like the average Joe Bloggs in the street? Can you give day to day examples of situations when, before you might not have been so confident but since getting bigger you've gained confidence.

Not sure if 200lbs makes me big? But anyway being bigger than I was hasn't not made me more confident.... I think. Mind you I have been doing some form of weights since I have been 16 so all my adult life I have trained. Thus I have no idea if my personalty would be different if I hadn't?

Being fairly solid, well under all the flab anyway, has given me a certain degree of confidence say when it came to playing rugby at school, or not being pushed around. I found people were less likely to shove you around if you may have shoved back harder. Though this is somewhat countered by being a fat lump which draws some negative attention. The average joe bloggs idea is a myth though IMO.

big is subjective and individual imo I am not big AT ALL compared to most guys on here, but compared to how I was, I am It has given me more confidence, and I hate to admit that tbh, because it should be from within

mick_the_brick What weight / height do you class as big? Bigger than the average guy in the street, as a direct result from training.

I am by no means big, but definitely bigger than the average guy in the street at this stage. It's given me a massive amount of confidence, mainly in purely social situations. I feel much more confident walking into a club or pub, much more comfortable approaching girls, etc.

I'm not big but I am bigger than I was. Made a massive difference for me, in business, every day life and also with women. Being tall I always attracted a lot of attention, both good and bad. Now that I'm a little bigger I'm not self conscious of my height either.

It hasn't made me more confident. It has made me more paranoid? I wouldn't say i was big, more in shape or muscular.

I wouldn't class myself as big, but I'm in good shape and have a little muscle. People say the average guy or the guuy on the street, but I meet people everyday who are far bigger than me and don't train. They just carry a lot of fat, but can still be very broad shouldered esp with a physical job. I'm perhaps a little more confident then I was as I have more physical presence than I did at under ten stone lol. But with bodybuilding comes an intense focus on how you look and comparing yourself to others. That side is quite negative, and I never thought about things like that before I trained.
