Help With Burning More Body Fat!

Hi everyone

New to this forum & site & new-ish to the world of weight training.

I'm hoping to shed more body fat to expose more of a defined/ripped look.

I'm currently doing the P90X workout plan & into my 7th week of it.  Since this time, I've noticed a visible difference in size & muscle mass but I'm struggling to shift a bit more body fat.

I'm 5'8, weight 11.2 stone & I'm an athletic build.  My body fat is currently 17.7% but I'd like this down to around 8 or 9%. Is my BMI % different to that of my body fat %?  Sorry if that's a stupid question.  As I say, my diet is the new thing to me & I want to get it right as I know how important it is.

I started out at 10.1 stone but have since gained around a stone in weight but changed this into lean muscle.
I'm happy with my weight but want to drop body fat.

My question is, do I put on more weight to change this into muscle or stick with my weight & concentrate on sculpting the muscle I have??

What I'm hoping to achieve is a defined/ripped/carved look, that of Brad Pitt in Fight Club.  I'm seeing results but feel the body fat is not going.

I eat well & stay away from all the wrong foods (processed, fatty etc) I have a high Protein based diet & I work out with weights 3 times a week & the rest of the week is broken down into doing Yoga, Plyometrics (jump training), Kenpo.  All of these being high CV workouts.

My meal plan works like this:

MORNING
Porridge with Skimmed Milk
2 x scoops of Protein shake

MID MORNING SNACK
Yogurt, Protein bar & a Banana

LUNCH
Tuna or Chicken salad with New Potatoes, plenty of veg & a Light salad dressing

MID AFTERNOON SNACK
Oat bar or some form of Carb intake. Half an hour before workout 1 x banana

WORKOUT

EVENING MEAL
Grilled chicken or grilled tuna steak with veg

If you guys can recommended anything to help, I'd appreciate  it.  If there's things in there is should or shouldn't be doing then please let me know.

I hope you guys can help me.  Sorry for the long post!

Look forward to hearing from you guys.

Add some solid protein to your second snack and then have a scoop of whey with your banana. Very small portion of carbs with dinner would be ok, and a scoop of whey before bed in skimmed milk to end the day.

10 stone at 8% and 5'8 will make you look ill and like you've never stepped into a gym but if it's what you want!  How have you got that BF figure?

    BMI is a different calculation:

You can't 'convert' fat into muscle.  You also cannot 'sculpt' muscle.  Personally I'd keep adding mass.

Oxymoron?  Bit lost sorry mate.  But to look like Brad do lots of cardio and some casual weight sessions.

Anyway, to the point in hand, if you're not losing enough weight as you'd like, reduce carb portion sizes and/or do more cardio/exercise.  Sounds like you have it all in place so maybe you just need to give it more time?

    Unaffiliated.

I'm now at 11.2 stone since working out & at a nice body size.  I just wanted to strip more fat & try to remain at this sort of weight if that's possible?
