3) please Outline the qualities you possess which make you a good candidate to work in retailing.

4) why are you applying to tescos and what aspects do u think u will enjoy the most?

Did one of these the other day,

    I just put... (dont laugh!)

    1) Sales assistant, various responsibilites including customer service and till operation

    2) Interest in computers and business

    3) Work well in a team and have experience with customers

    4) Tesco's is a large corporation which I would like to be a part of, I believe I will enjoy working as part of a large operation

and expanded on them slightly, I wouldnt worry too much about what you put to be honest!

    1) Cant really answer as dont know what he did but should be stuff like till operation, stock control, paperwork customer service. Give examples for all of these and any other ones.

    2) Again difficult to answer but pput down loads of things even if he doeent do them. Make himself look as outgoing and socialable as possible and motivated to stick at something and to get good at it. Bodybuilding and socialising in my case.

    3) Confident, outgoing with a calm temperament (sp?) who enjoys the challenge of working in a retail environment. Able to communicate with customers and staff effectively and posseses the ability to diffuse situations and provide an outcome satisfactory to the customer. Self motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to undertake tasks on an individual basis using own initative or to work effectively within a team. etc, etc

Think about what they want in an employee and tell them your it.

    4) Tescos is a successful company ( include some figures or info from their site or the news) Potential to develop career i.e management/ supervisory. Gain wider range of skills as there are different departments. Beileve he can offer tesco a great employee (give reasons).

Stuff like that. Always good to have a good application form - they'll take you more seriously.

    Hope this helps.

    2 pointers:
    1. If it's a form for Morrisons, don't refer to them as Tesco's.
    2. If it's a form for Tesco, don't refer to them as Tesco's... or Tescos.

Nah, have you ever seen the Tesco application form? They want to know everything from what anti persperant you use to what colour your ****e was that morning

They have a questionairre and its a load of bollocks to be honest, I've applied twice and never got it. I applied for Safeway a while back online and they put you through an examination..
