From 1800 til bedtime there is very little food consumption. You need more food (inc protein) at 20/2030 and a more complete meal 30 mins to an hours after you PWO shake IMHO.

thanks. 'cos I train at around 2100, I'm keen not to be too full within 1-2 hours before gym time..else I feel very sick whilst working out. I get your point bout eating a meal after PWO shake, what should I eat? protein only? I heard carbs at night was bad?

Yuu needs to refuel, carbs at night a fine. You need acomplete meal, pr, carbs and some fats IMO. Pre-WO it doesn't need to be a huge meal, but you are going a very long time with nothing. Go calorie dense so the quantity isn't too big.... whole eggs and some oily fish is my fave.
