Help with straight barbell problem

Hi I am using frankies routine.

Last week I done the following of 35kg straight.

6x35kg 5x35kg 5x35kg 6x35kg

Should I go up this week in weight or stick to 35kg???

Also if I go up the next weight all we have in the gym is 40kg straight. There will be no way that I could do 4x6 of these. How could I get around this big jump.

if i were you i would find another gym!
i asked the same question and am nine weeks into the program. if i can do 5x5 i up the weight. only by max of 2.5kgs per week. if i can do 5x5 il up the weight. if i can only do 3 on last set, il keep the weiht the same. If i cant make atleast 4 on the fourth set and 3 on the last, il go down a weight.
    Remembering technique is paramount!
I only ever up the weight when i fully complete my set/rep range. if im going for 5x5, make 4 good sets of 5 and then a 4.. tough luck and il keep the weight next time. copping out and increasing the weight doesnt show that you have achieved something. I like to know i have done exactly what i have set out to do before going heavier.
fraknie also advised me that not completeing all sets and reps will make it more likely to plateau later on

    1) either use 35 until you get 4x6

    2) go onto 40 now and be prepared to drop to 4x4 and build up

Up to you, i would do the first suggestion then the second once you have completed the first.

Can you get hold of a set of ankle weights?.. they are usually about 1kg each.. you could add one .. then two when you can do 4x6 with one.. that'll take you up to 37kg at least.
