Ok here go lol im back to training after more or less a year off and im just planning out my years worth of training with 2 routines aimed at strength mainly but also a little mass as ive lost a fair bit weight. Here's my first routine its a 3 day split fairly basic

wide grip chins 5 sets
close grip chins 5 sets

im planning on doing this for 12 weeks then going on to my other routine which is

push day...
push press 5x3
incline press 4x6
db shoulders 4x6
dips 4 sets

legs...
squats 5x3

STL deads 4x6

pull day.......
deadlift 5x3
barbell rows 4x6
wide grip chins 4 sets
close grip chins 4 sets
oly bar curls as many as poss

My questions is does this look like an ok plan for my goals if not were am i going wrong ???

Why have you put bench on your legs day?

    Solid enough plan.

    Think you cannot beat something more along the lines of;

Squat variant, press variant, pull variant, plus some upper backwork, or other relevant assistance work x 3 a week.

Just make sure to manage load and volume over each sess.

Off course you plan is fine and sometimes it just good to go with that and then you'll see how it works out and how you need to evolve you training. You 2nd phase may be fine but tbh until you do the first 1 you won't know 100%

Thanks for the replies the reason i put bench in with legs is i use to train the kortes 3x3 routine and i liked it alot nd that incorperates squat bench dead every session so i thought id pop it in there tbh i couldnt press anymore on a push day the volume is high enough as it is.

Looking back i dont think routine 2 will work out to well for my i need summit abit more basic and less volume gunna take ur advice and stick with routine 1 for now and see how it goes thanks again for replies
