High heart rate after Legs then cardio?

I just completed a leg session compiling off:

3 x 8 Squats @ 85KG
3 x 8 Lunges @ 35KG
3 x 15 Donkey Calf Raises 85KG

I then stepped on to the Cross Trainer for a bit of fat loss. I programed it to Fat Loss, entered my weight of 64KG, hit 20 minutes, and put my age as 22. It then said my target heart rate should be 129. I then began the workout. My heart rate was measuring at 160 to begin with and then the machine adjusted the speed to reduce my heart rate, but I didn't get it below about 138 which was at a low speed of 6! I didn't feel tired at all. I am slightly worried and curious as to why my heart rate was so high. I play regular 1 hour solid 5 a side each week and 30 mins 5 a side on an alternative day. I've let my training slip over the past few months due to other commitments, however for the past 4 weeks i've trained 4 times a week on weights and working to my max each session.

Any ideas why my heart rate was so high?

Despite the heart rate being so high I didn't feel tired at all. I feel pretty fit at the moment and can easily do an hour of intense 5 a side, general exercise etc which is why I was confused. I tried 2 cross trainers and 1 treadmill, it all said the same. Don't know if this matters but I was wearing my gloves through the entire weights session until I got on to the cross trainer and then the treadmill, so my hands were very sweaty throughout.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

You say you have let your training slip a little, that will effect your heart rate but usually it take a while to lose general fittness,
Its alright playing 1 hour solid five aside but your heart reate will fluctuate because its not steady cardio,
One of the best sports for cardio and fat burning is long distance cycling or running but if your into bodybuilding you dont want to be doing that, i do 40mins cardio Monday to Friday and thats at a steady 50-60 % max heart rate,

Fogot to say , to lower your heart rate cardio is a must, the more you do the better the fat loss and blood flow, but make sure your diet is good especially your protein intake, you dont want to lose muscle as fuel,

i just do it so i break a sweat breathing is under control and at a steady pace heart rate especially after legs for myself i know have a higher heart rate than say a chest day

when doing cardio only so not straight after weights i do the same pace and my heart rate is alot lower so for myself i dont watch the heart rate to gauge it

Frost thats a good point you dont have to watch it you can do it by feel, after severl months you get to know your own body and what works for you, we are all the same but so different as well,

Ok thanks guys. I train with 2 of my friends, one has been training solid for a couple years and the other has been regular since January. Both their heart rates were a lot lower then mine, and if i'm honest I would class myself as fitter then them, well I thought I was anyway. The machine adjusted for their rates and one was on about 7 speed with like a 9 incline and he was hitting his target heart rate. It was just a shock when I saw my rate so highh!

Would having a higher resting heart rate be the cause?
