Cheers Gaz ya been a real help today but i've not really got time to be Jamie Oliver this weekend so was just looking to purchase some. CNP's any good or are there better out there?

Maybe i'll try the old hand at cooking next week as they sound lush!

Vyomax Lite bars - very tasty, good value, low carb.

CNP's bars - the flapjacks - are relatively high carb.

Body Workout in my local town sell bars that are 50g of Protein, only 5g of Carbs, 3g saturated fat £2 a bar

I half the bars and eat them seperately

    Bench  - 100kg for 6

    Deadlift - 160kg for 6 (w/ straps)

I can vouch for Gaz's bars mate. I'm no Jamie Oiver and they only took me 10minutes to knock up.

    How about Ace-Bar?

    waste of money imo

    http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/vyomax-high-protein-flapjack-bars-x-24---easy-convenient-tasty-snack-65-p.asp

If you want to buy protein bars/flapjacks rather than make your own i highly recommend any of the above cheaper than the 'ace' bars and very very tasy!

I have 6 boxes of cnp flapjacks in my wardrobe

those arent low carb though, they all contain polyols which do influence blood sugar levels and act like carbs

Best sticking with Gaz's bars IMO, i can voich for them they are truly awesome and plus you know what goes in them with no hidden nasties to keep them fresh for ages (not going to be an issue though considering how nice they are, they'll be gone soon enough )

I am well pleaed with these!! There isnt any honey required which i've always added before which smashes the calories and carbs up!

Mr OooGazzoo, do you have a rough calorific number?
Also, could i do remove the jelly or will that ruin it?

The Vyomax Lite ones, whilst containing some Polyols, still only contain 14.6g of total carbs per bar. Surprisingly for a low carb bar, they're also very tasty :)
