HoMedics Shiatsu Massaging Cushion, SBM-200

Has anyone got this or something like it, I'm about to order it

http://www.freenet.ltd.uk/shiatsu_massager.asp

I have a bulged disc and a numb feeling down my leg, my back isn't that bad, it's just the numb feeling I can't get rid of

Have seen a physio for 8 weeks and an osteo

I just need pure rest, so no weights running ect

Anyone got one

Thank you

The Mrs bought me one for my b'day a couple of years ago. I use it when my back is throbbing from a heavy lifting session, seems to work all the tension out. Obviously it's not as good as the real thing but I like mine.

^ Can't beat Chesterfield mate, I've lived here all 22 years of my life, I seem to be the only person though what likes it here

Seen my osteo again and he said I should think about giving up squats forever , my world fell apart as he said that, it doesn't even feel that bad it's just the nerves down my leg which just won't go away

I need rest for now because disc's caqn be seriously bad

But I will return to the battle field and I'm staying positive I will make a full recovery

For now though this is my last post and I won't post again untill I'm back in action, because it just upsets me more talking about training, when I can't do it

    This seems the cheapest

Ive got a bulging disc too mate, luckily not a severe one, i get no sciatica just a throbbing in the general area (L5/S1). Don't get your hopes up too much, it feels good and all but any relief it'll offer you will probably be short lived. They are fcking gorgeous though, my mum used mine and managed to bruise herself in the process. Also if theres someone you dont like, push their face into it, it really hurts. BUY BUY BUY! look on ebay, think i saw some going cheap. Asda had them at 65 quid a few months back, dunno if they still do em.

How long you had a bulged disc mate?

Do you think it will ever recover to where you can squat an deadlift again?

I haven't had an X ray, it's kust what the osteo said, I though it was going to be a SIJD

    Thanks bud

Had a bulging disc for just over a year now mate, as I said, not painful but squatting and deadlifting tend to aggrivate things. Its impossible to tell if its going to recover, i think it did initially then i went skydiving (lots of back arching) and that really pissed it off.

Ive seen a specialist whos recommended an epidural (big needle full of anti inflammitories straight into the disc). Seeing a guy who is probably one of the most qualified spine specialists in london next week to see what he says. I'll let you know if he thinks i'll ever be able to lift heavy again, ive heard stories where strongmen have pushed past it and gone to win comps....

The best thing for you to right now is get an MRI done, stop guessing what it could be and get it checked. If it is a bulging/torn/herniated disc, there may be something that can be done non-invasively.

read up here so when you get your MRI, you can decide on the best course of action:

All the best, any questions feel free to drop me a mail,

We are going to sell them in our shops, our buyer was out last week sourcing some products, we've had rave reviews about them, we are hoping to see them fly off the shelfs.
