Homemade Fat Blend

Hey guys,

I usually use NOW Omega 3-6-9 blend, I find its a simple way to boost EFA intake however MyProtein are out of stock and have been for some time now so I want to try make my own wth oils I can pick up from a local supermarket.

Tesco now do a flax oil in an opaque bottle and I guess extra virgin olive oil would be another ingredient I'd need. Can anyone suggest other ingredients and rough amounts?

Cheers,

Chris

id say you dont need to worry about 6 and 9 fats as O3's are the hard ones to get in the diet. look on www.zipvit.co.uk for cold pressed flax oil for £7 a bottle 365ml. Also they do high strength omega 3 fish oil 260 caps for £14 which is 3 months supply as you generally only need 4 a day

ok O6's are in the nuts you eat and O9's are also present in food anyway as Monounsaturated fats, so no need to top them up! Hence why O3's are the fats you need to worry about

Eat more eggs if you are worried about it. The better quality the eggs, the less you need to worry about adding extra ω3.

    Unaffiliated.

I don't like eggs so I use whole egg powder from MP. I usually have the equivalent to two eggs every morning. Like I said, I use the fat blends as a "top up" so I'll just get a bottle of flax and bump up nut intake slightly to maintain appropriate ratios.

    Cheers guys.
