Horror for tonight?

It's been years since a film has really scared me.

Blair Witch and the original Ring are what stand out.

Any recommendations!?

I enjoyed 'The Conjuring'. Was creepy and at the same time a really good film.

You did gain far too much fat though,I mean, you're not muscular at all, you're just a fat mess.

LOL you obv haven't watched many horrors.

None ever seem to scare me but there are a few over the years I've found pretty freaky.

The amityville horror one of the latest ones with that what's his name? Was pretty freaky.

I need to re jog my memory, as with the ex I'd watch different horrors every week.

Always liked the Texas chainsaw massacres.

But none are what I'd call scary unless you watch the exorcist in a dark room by yourself, that might spook you a little.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Right a few I've thought of.

Paranormal activity, the latest was a bit spooky if I remember correctly

Silence of the lambs
Insidious weren't bad.

Also if you haven't seen tucker and dale vs evil then you seriously need to watch, it's a piss take horror, but bloody hilarious.

Descent
Nightmare on elm street
Halloween

Any film with Jason, Freddie or leather face is generally good.

Over the years I've watched hundreds, the ex was horror obsessed!

The triangle also was ok, not a horror as such but leaves you thinking wtf, but you'll understand why it's named the triangle after you've watched it.

Why do you say that? I've seen all of those apart from the triangle and Insidious. Maybe I'll go with Insidious.

I was at school when I watched Blair Witch and old Ring. Also the Shining. They were fecking scary back then lol.

Hated the Paranormal activity series. Very boring.

Depends on what you call a horror these days.
Although admittedly I love the horror genre, I can usually easily watch the 'horrors' that defy the Bounderies of belief - stuff with aliens, creatures, paranormal etc etc.
The real chillers in my opinion are those films where you could quite easily imagine yourself in the unfortunate predicament of the victims, those where your car breaks down, or you're out camping in the woods and a madman appears.

In that regard - I have to admit that Wolf Creek 2, which I saw the other week, sent more than a chill down my spine LOL! Sick stuff!!

Just cause you mentioned a few of the obvious ones.

I do agree though back in school times most of these would have sh*t me up, the ring did a little actually when she came up to the TV.

I watched the Texas chainsaw massacre the beginning in 3D at the cinema and it **** me up lol.

Not really a proper horror, but I think the suspense and darkness of 28 Days Later is hard to beat

Insedious One and Two ( they tell teh same story from different sides on teh second, well done I thought).

Watching the Conjuring tonight, though it pretty good first time around.

Event Horizon will always be my "afraid to watch again" movie though.

I thought The Conjuring was the scariest film I'd seen in years.

The Babadook is getting rave reviews at the moment, as opposed to Ouija which is terrible apparently.

Some of my faves of all time would be:

Return of the Living Dead
American Werewolf in London
Pet Sematary
IT
Dawn of the Dead (Original, but remake was good too)
The Ring
The Amicus anthology films
The Omen (1 and 2)
Carrie

One lesser known film that I've heard a lot of great things about is Martyrs, meant to stay with you for a long time afterwards!

Personally I think the original Halloween still stands the test of time pretty well

Tucker and Dale vs Evil was really good.
Is the latest PA the one thats starts off in like a Mexican housing complex? Watched all the others and thought they were good, but never seen that one.

We went with 'You're Next' in the end as the quality of the copy online was very good.

It wasn't scary as such but I quite enjoyed it. Jumpy at times. A twist to the story, which was easy enough to spot early on, but still kept you guessing a little. Decent amount of gore and some pretty bad ass deaths.
