How 1 week can make a big difference in BB.

I couldn't believe how only 1 week has made such a huge difference to my training. Last week I had no energy, was struggling with big lifts, felt overtrained, was not progressing like I felt I should be and generaly losing enthusiasim. I decided that I needed to make changes if I was to progress and start enjoying the sport again.

After looking at my routine which was a 4 day split working each group twice per week, I decided I was not getting enough recovery time which was accounting towards my overtraining. I have changed it and kept a 4 day split but only working each group once per week thus giving me more time to recover. My routines have went from 80mins/workout 4 times/week down to 50-60mins/workout 4 times per week. Although my workouts are shorter they are alot more intense.

I also was only getting about 6 hours of sleep which I know is not enough. I now get 8 hours but never less than 7.

I have never really kept a close eye on my diet, and when I looked at it I dicovered how crap it really was. I knew that if I wanted to succeed in my quest for greatness I would have to get my diet sorted. On my old diet I was only getting a pathetic 155g protein per day, no wonder my lifts have became so poor. After revamping my diet I have cut down on my fat intake, and eating more lean foods and drinking more water. I have now upped my protein intake to 255g/day.

By the end of this week I could not believe the difference theese simple but very important changes I have made. I am now full of energy and not feeling tired and trained. I lifted the same weights as I was last week and to be honest most of them I done it with not much of a problem. I have finally got my enthusiasim back and can't wait till my next workout.

    could you email me a copy of your diet as i feel really sluggish at the min.looking for new ideas as to wot i can eat.

    id rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy!!!!
