How accurate do u have to be with ur diet?

Hi
I've never weighed my food I have always guessed my food portions when training for fatloss and lean mass gain...
My question is how accurate do u really have to be with your diet?
Such as macro-nutrients content and calories?

If you're looking to cut fat or make lean gains, i'd recommend weighing your food to ensure you're not eating too much of something.  Also making sure you're eating enough!

So yeah, it's not going to be 100% as food quality varies.  But you should weigh food or else god knows what you're eating.

It doesn't have to be accurate. Copied & Pasted from another post of mine:-
    1) Get adequate protein. 1-1.5g per lb bodyweight.
    2) Get adequate carbs. See How Many Carbohydrates Do You Need
    3) Get adequate EFAs. See http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/fb.ashx?m=2698563
    4) Where the rest of your calories come from doesn't matter. Try to avoid eating damaged fats (commercial veg oils, junk foods). Monitor your rate of weight change & adjust your intake accordingly.
    Job done.

Sometimes its good practice to weigh everything out for a day. Just now and then, to make sure you are weighing it out properly!

    Good post Nige

Too many stress too much about this or that instead of just cracking on with it.

Unless you are competing then enjoy the experience :)
