How can I use my itunes tracks elswhere???

As far as I know, the only place I can play my itunes tracks (ie tracks I have downloaded on itunes) is on an official ipod, or burn tem to cd to play in anormal cd player.

How can I convert them to normal mp3's to play anywhere?? Can I burn them to cd as wavs and then ripp them into normal mp3s??

Thanks guys

Highlight a song in itunes - Right Click > Convert To Mp3

    Hi mate

I dont have that option. When I look at my purchsed tracks and right click on one of them, I only have convert AAC.

If I try to covert to AAC (I dont even know what AAC is!) it says it cant becasue the file is protected.

    ????

You can also burn them to a CD and import them again, but make sure you've got iTunes set to import tracks as mp3 rather than AAC.

Hi mate. Could you explain what AAC is please?

    Thanks

Hi mate. When I look at the info of each track they are all AAC and 'Protected'.
I have the option to covert to AAC, but dont know why because they are already AAC tracks. Even if I do try and convert to AAC it says it cant because they are protected.

I have a basic mp3 ripper. If I burn the tracks to audio cd, can I just ripp them as I would any other audio cd, and thus use them with any player I like? or will they still have protection on them?

    Thanks
