How long till you start to see gains???

I've been exercising and doing weights for about 3 weeks now. I eat a sensible diet and drink protein shakes 3 times a day.

My workout includes 30 minutes daily CV (basketball) and three times a week a do weights - when doing weights i do the max number of reps I can do without failing. I do bench presses, concentration curls, leg curls, hammer curls and squats.

anyway I was wondering when gains are likely to come - I must admit I dont think I've visibly seen any yet although I do feel much fitter.

With correct diet and training, I'd say fat loss within a month or so, strength in a few weeks, and muscle growth within 3-6 months.

Always hard at first though mate ... but good gaisn to be made.

Sounds to me like you have no routine though, the best thing you can do is get a good one, perhaps post it up here. Believe me it'll make all the difference. I f**ked around with a routine for a year and got nowhere, then went here, got a good one and bang, loads of progess. The next best thing to do is your diet, this is as important, if not more so, than the training itself.

    Hope this helps
