You are right, red meat definitely is healthy and effective in giving energy and nutrients, good that we are over that 'red meat kills' BS. :D
But yeah, too much of anything can cause problems.
I think then suitable amount really depends on its fat content. If it is a fatty steak, I don't think you should eat more than 500 g a week, but for example, lean (<5% fat) beef and pork should be ok even if you take like 250 g daily.
