How often do you delay training??

For the past 3 weeks it's been pretty bad. A combination of very little money worries and a bit of laziness. I have been doing my usual 3 day split meant for 1 week over about 11 days. I intend to sort things out, but the strange thing was I felt my squats have been going better with the longer breaks.

Is a 3 day split over 11 days unheard of?? I'm thinking of continuing this with my squats if I contine to be able to add weight with relative ease.

I experienced the very same thing once when I fell sick for a week and didnt train.. it seemed as though my muscles were fully recovered and I did the exact same amount as the week before without even forcing...was astonished.
