How often do you train strongman?

For those of you that compete in strongman, just wonderig how often do you do strongman specific training? And how many days do you train in the gym?

Also, how many days before a comp do you stop training?

Very curious.

    I'm new to Strongman and lucky to train events once weekly..more like once every 2 weeks. I know this is not optimal, but I can't get away from the gym and my partner has little interest in Strongman

    once a week - but sometimes not even that.

    Monday- Overhead Pressing, some bench for pressing assistance, biceps
    Wednesday- Deadlifts and other back stuff, triceps
    Friday- Legs
    Sunday- Events

    argh hate benching, just overhead for me! I dont really enjoy the gym training as much as events plus I dont see the point in training movements that I wont do in competition.

    3 gym sessions 1 event session per week , the week leading upto a comp ,stretching a few light assistance bits ,swim, walk, chill an eat !!

    yer i hate benching and all that

    i love overhead at the moment and deadlifting, squattin's not to bad like lol, when i can do it. i seriously got to stock up on some strongman stuff, looks fun.
