How to make omlettes?

How would I go about making an omlette. I would probably want to use 6 egg whites, so how many yolks would be needed, and what other ingredients? Also, do you have to use butter, or can you use another fat such as olive oil?

Thanks

Whisk up about 3 whole eggs end 3 whites

use some spray oil in a good non stick pan and heat

pour mix on the pan and heat on low

use a spatula when eggs are solidifying to keep from sticking

grate cheese or pre cooked veg onto one half of the mix when nearly done

fold other half over filling and cook for a while longer

    serve

I make pancakes with whey in - it denatures a little bit - but still more protein than without it.

I chop up bacon and onions, fry them until brown, then pour the omlette mix over it to cook (6eggs less 3 yolks with a little bit of milk) then prod the concuction with a spatula so it dosent stick, finish undetr the grill for 30 secs!

I use whole eggs, they are nice and contain most of the protein.
check out this thread for more info on why people use whole eggs...

I think the avoiding the yolk might be beneficial on a cutting diet. However, the fat in the yolk is good EFA.

On the cholesterol, screw it. Our bodies make more cholesterol naturally than you could ever hope to eat in eggs. Also, if you're eating clean, most BB's consume MUCH less cholesterol than the average schmoe.

you can also put the omlette under the grill in the pan when the bottom side is cooked to get the top done. This avoids splitting the omlette when trying to flip it over and ending up making scrambled egg out of it lol.
