I am making this post very reluctantly...

Because I DO NOT want to be treated differently from anyone else, but I PM'd John Cappa and he said I should be honest (which was what I wanted to be right from the off, but a respected online friend (who is a mod on another board) chastised me and said I shouldn't have told people there, and I didn't want to make the same mistake again (if, indeed, it was a mistake).

I am autistic spectrum (high functioning, which basically means I have a very high IQ but zero social skills, basically.)

I have only one friend in real life (but then she's the sort of person who'll accept anyone and I only know her through an ex (with whom I'm still deeply in love, but he's lost to the evils of the weed... ).

I am sh*te at dealing with people when I CAN see their faces - forums are an absolute waking nightmare for me so, if I've broken any rules, or done/said things I shouldn't have, then I sincerely apologise and hope you'll forgive my ignorance.

Warmest wishes,

Sarah xxx
(who means no harm to anyone)

To be honest- no not really!?

All a bit surreal if you ask me.

Thanks, tac. I don't know whether I dare go make a similar post over on UK Muscle. I was ripped to shreds over there (accused of trolling within a couple of hours of posting - because I'd dared to thank someone publicly (because I didn't have a high enough post count to PM.))

I've come here to learn from people who know more about diet, nutrition and training than I do (which is all of you, basically! )

Forums really are an anathema to me most of the time.

    Thanks for being understanding.

    Peace 'n' friendship,

    Sarah xxx

    hello Sarah,
open forum so everyone is welcome and entitled to an opinion etc, just add yours where appropriate and you will fit in just fine.

John Cappa doesnt speak for the rest of us, he is just a keyboard warrior and a bad one at that.  Just be yourself, if people dont like that then sod them, they dont have to read your posts.

Thanks for making this thread Sarah, I hope this explains to the community of MT why as you have said yourself, you are not always good at dealing and interacting with others.

I hope you continue to feel welcome here and receive the advice and support with regards to your diet and exercise regime.

I am going to lock this thread now as I'm off to bed and I should not like to see any unpleasantries appear on here overnight.

    G'nite all!

    Just butting in.......

Sarah, as RHF says, thank you for posting this but it must be frustrating that you feel you have to justify/explain things like this.

The behaviour of some people towards you must seem like a form of bullying....almost a fear of something/someone different. Do not take this personally but also do not react in an aggressive manner. Simply ignore them and move on (easy to do on forums).

If I could offer one piece of advice though, please do not ask for advice and then either criticise it because the poster does not have all information (such as you not mentioning peanut allergy on the other site), or ignore it.......see your post in the female section and the response from Papa as well as the diet that James has posted up and I have linked to a couple of times.

People will be happy to help as long as it's appreciated.

May I also request on behalf of others that you post in normal font and colour like the rest of us, large bright pink script is not pleasant to read.

Just want to also say, people are too quick to shout 'spammer' and 'troll', sometimes people are genuine albeit a little odd in their posting.

The people who were rude are not bad guys, they are just on the defensive, because we do get trolls here.  I just wish people would step back and consider that posters may be genuine first.
