I cant shop...

Now I can do a lot of things, run calculations in my head, write software and algorithms all day long but I cant shop. It sounds so stupid.

I either buy too much stuff and it goes off before I get the chance to eat it or I dont buy enough or I buy the wrong type of food.
If say I want to bulk, what should I buy and when (what day)? Usually shop at Sainsburys.

I have whey80, creatine, flax powder and ALA. I eat a lot of tuna and chicken. I will eat most things.

it's because your a techy mate.
technical people for what they gain as being able to do complex technical functions with reletive ease, they loose simplistic comman sense functionality.

Almost like a dizzy blond, my GF's mate in the salon has a degree in english yet she couldn't work out how to eject a CD from a stereo today!!!
    IT's only needed power.
Dizzy blondes can be very intellegent but be dizzy all the same.
    Your the technical male version.

    LOL.
(make a list mate of every meal, that's what I do. And then buy healthy snacks such as nuts, seeds, crisp ;-) fruit etc)
I am a half tecky, forget what I am saying or where I am going sometimes because my minds bouncing ideas around that I will probably never execute.

I know what you mean, I cant do directions either!

Anyway, I think I know what I should be eating but how often should I buy things and when. If I had a structured shopping list I think I could bulk n cut properly. Need some help though, bit ashamed to ask the wife but guess I should.

EDIT: Just thinking, how much would it cost for some food guru to do me a structured food plan (diet) and shopping regime?

TBH me or my GF goto the supermarket nearly everyday, always running out of something. If you want to have fresh fruit then you will have to shop for it at least twice a week. Add in everything else and you can see you can spend a lot of time there.

    - Tuna in cans doesn't go off
    - Freeze chicken breasts/fish etc and defrost as needed
    - Pasta and rice if stored well don't go off
    - Don't buy a huge amount of potatoes but they generally last
    - Buy frozen veg
    - Some fruits such as apples last a long time in the fridge
    - Buy a loaf of bread and keep a few slices out and freeze the rest, defrosting a few slices at a time as needed
    - Cereal (muslei, porridge, etc) lasts a long time
    - Don't buy fresh veg in bulk! Enough to last 2-3 days max

Can vouch for that. I've given over buying fresh brocolli, I rely on various frozen veg mixed, peas carrots, sweetcorn/ brocolli & cauliflour etc

sill buy carrots, peppers, onions, tomatoes etc

frozen veg is brilliant, also due to the nature of cooking it holds more nutrients. I am loving frozen green beans at the moment.

Fresh stuff is nice but not worth the cost or hassle to use everyday especially when frozen is just as good.

So can you cook frozen veg in the microwave? We have a microwave at work and any foods I can buy to heat in there would be great. What else can be cooked in microwave.?
What frozen veg do you all use?
