I just got home and...

My front was wide open!!! (F.CK!)

Me and my girlfriend were in shock at first. I thought that maybe my logder had just walked in and left the door open while she took off her jacket or something... I shouted for her but no answer... So now I'm slightly more worried, keys in knuckles, opening every door with caution... Bikes there! Xbox there! TV there! Broken mobile there! PC there! Go upstairs to talk to logder. "I am 99% I didn't leave the door open, but I did here moving around down stairs"

Either she left the door open or someone broke in and got scared off by her moving around up stairs. Anyway she is sure she heard moving around so...

Is there a chance they were just checking the place out and might come back another day?

I can't imagine someone would break in just to look around the place.

They would assume(unless they're a complete muppet) that if you suspected you'd been broken into, you'd be putting better locks on the door......So they're making life hard for themselves if they want to come back.

And they've got some balls if they broke in through your front door!!

     I agree with odog.......

flatmate left the door open 100%

even if they were disturbed, they would have grabbed what they could as they legged it.

and there would be damage on the door, i think its almost unheard of that burglars pick locks and leave no damage

Yeah sounds like a cockup closing the door. Count yourself lucky mate, but take solcae in the fact that if it does happen you'll still have your cage and weights as what burglar is going to nick those.

Beware however if Ronnie Coleman gets fired, loses his sponsorship deals and becomes homeless in your area - he may try to half inch them

Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

Sounds like the lodger forgot to lock the door as previously said.

I know when my brother was burgled in Vauxhall, London and he heard the burglar and chased him, the bloke still grabbed an expensive-looking box and legged it, bruv in hot pursuit.

What I mean is, if a burglar had heard noises (and not been confronted), you can bet he'd still have pinched something anyway.

Have you checked your protein stash is intact?

Yep, I was pretty sure it was her but after a night of drinking anything is posible lol.

Just amazed that no one stole anything as the door was left open for a few hours as the lodger said she came in at 12:30!

I know some of the dodgy people in my area but I doubt that would stop them taking an easy oppotunity like that.. Lucky.

LOL I left my car unlocked all night last night.  And my neighbour left his key in his door on the outside,  I had to post them through his letterbox.
The naughty people had a night off last night

Just use a bump key.  See a Yale lock, get out the bump key that fits, tap and in.
