I want to start the revolution...

Do you think the internet will help precipitate a revolution here?

I sense something could spill out on the streets this summer... I hope so.

Interesting that, I watched The Condemned last night and they streamed a live reality TV show on the internet where 10 death row convicts are sent to an island and the one left alive gains freedom.

Will there be a live stream or will i have to catch a re-run?

TBh people knock France but at least they get off there asses and do something, here it wont ever happen again, ten years ago when the Miners strike was on,most people just saw some scuffy men moaning, they didnt want to listen and didnt think of the knock on effects and the point behind it all

Following WW2 measures were draw up to prevent ,anything like it happening again ,these speical laws of protection for the working man have been withdraw since ,som we are buggered

Funnily just prior to WW2 Hitler did a bit of burning and blamed it on terrorists, that his people needed new laws to protect them, then took away the right to protest, then introduced ID cards
    sound Familiar...

I think now with the advent of social networking sites its more likely than at any other time.

When MJ died there were messages on Twitter, FB et al regarding an impromptu flashmob at Liverpool St Station. A few thousand people turned up and although nothing actually happened other than people filmed people filming people expecting something to happen, you can see that a mass demonstration could be fairly easily orchestrated.

It's just are people too apathetic to actually do anything once they congregate or would the same crusty dogs-on-strings types just use it as an excuse to start rioting?

    What would be your objectives?

'Revolution' is a bit vague and ambiguos.

I can't think of a country less likely to have a revolution - we just don't possess that kind of spirit any longer.

Before you can start a revolution you need to get people to agree with you.

    On something.

Have to agree fellas, as a country we are far too apathetic and to be frank, wimpy, to have any sort of revolution anymore.

There has been some cases of fairly serious rioting in recent years, i.e. the race riots across the North.

I think the only people with enough spirit and balls to do anything are the ethnic minority populations tbh, the BNP make a lot of noise but at the end of the day the far right in this country seems to made up of a bunch of plebs who would struggle to organise their own village hall meeting...

Agree that Facebook, Twitter etc and the subsequent Youtube coverage does change the game a bit though if anything did happen.

I certainly won't be looking forward to any race riots though.

I would join your revolution but:

    a) I am no longer unemployed

    AND

    b) I am no longer a student
