I was bored & hungry so...

It's flapjack time!

Never made them before, looked up a recipe which i didn't really stick to but success they turned out alright. Tasted damn good - mixture of honey, peanut butter, bounrville powder and a bit of grated cacau

Only eating one for now though, still got to take my shapeup challenge finish photos but i don't think a tray of flapjack would make much difference.

Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

Taste like heaven though. They aren't burnt - browned a bit around the edges but they are tinted from the mixture having chocolate powder and grated 100% cacau in them.

I notice the lack of the word "protein" in front of your flapjacks. I bet that means they taste gorgeous. Mmmm.

Not quite an F1 car though is it...

OIY missus some of us have self control. At least it's around here somewhere i can't seem to find it.

I've had one with a bit of 1% milk and it was heaven. Going out in the gym in a bit. Housemate has had one.

Chances are that dinner will consist of flapjack & coffee. Which food groups will that cover?

See, I think that unless you're somewhat anorexic, 'gorgeous protein flapjacks' are a bad idea. It's way too easy to shovel flapjacks of any sort down your gullet, and if you're deluding yourself that because there's some protein in there they're 'a good thing', then frankly you'll end up the size of a house and not in good way.

Edit: Plus, if you make the protein-free, delicious-looking examples of Chris, then perhaps you'll adopt a more circumspect approach to wolfing the bastards (and all the carby badness) down yer gob.

Seriously tho, JK has a good point.
Better not to have those bloody things lying around, otherwise they tend to get eaten.

You have the same kettle as me. Epic thing - boils in seconds for a cuppa - none of this filling over the element business.

I'll get the webcam on and guitar out sweety

I've woken up this morning to see my brother could not resist and had a couple to take to work. I did have another one last night to help the few beers go down but i've still got a plateful available.

Is it acceptable to have one for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and perhaps a mid afternoon snack?

I know protein flapjacks are no better then normal flapjacks, but they'll help me meet my goals faster then normal ones. I dont make protein flapjacks as some kind of snack that i can wolf down like some kind of pig and then say after 'oh its alright, they are protein flapjacks'. They are part of my daily diet.

We must have a different kettle from you Righty - that thing has always been pretty typical as kettles go. My brother is always after something to spend money on so we have one of those quick cup things that spouts boiling water in half a second or so. Great for making a quick cup, but totally useless if you need to make two cups or more.

It keeps my brother happy though having a gadget. It sits next to the steamer that he wanted that last got used, oh about a year ago at least haha
