Ice Skating

I`m seriously thinking about getting some skates and doing two sessions a week to burn fat and improve fitness levels.

Anyone else skate? Is it a good option to combine with 2 heavy weight sessions a week?

Yep, if you have access to a rink and enjoy it then it's quite good if you can skate properly.

Sounds like a good plan to me so carry on!

    What are your goals?

I`ve acheived a good level of size and strength naturally over the last few years,by lifting heavy with freeweights and only doing it twice a week.My diet has been pretty high in protein but also in fat!Hence,my bodyfat is way too high and I`m well unfit.

I`d like to be able to see the fruits of my labour(not bothered about a six pack, just want rid of the gut and to lose about 2 stone.I`m 17 stone ATM) but want to maintain as much muscular size and strength as possible.Strength is important to me.

I detest running, jogging, rowers.etc but am interested in ice skating as my son plays Ice Hockey and we both are huge Ice Hockey fans
