Injury experts - one knee pains when climbing stairs.

Hi all

About 7 years back I did my left knee a mischief when using that leg kickback machine (develops glutes), I felt something overstretch and since then, that knee has bothered me on and off.

Usually I feel a shooting pain when I'm climbing stairs, either every 3rd step or sometimes the first two before I step slowly.  Once I stop climbing, the pain goes away within a second.  I can work it fine, however the problem returns outside the gym, and even now, I can feel a very slight difference.   I've tried the leg kickback again 2 months back, actually made the problem better, but my gym here in the UK doesn't have one.

What kind of injury does this look like, and what actions do you guys recommend?

Cheers,

B2A

You've had a knee injury for seven years and not seen a physio?

Book an appointment, they will tell you exactly what it is and advise how to correct it, and it may be something that can be fixed within a few months without the use of surgery.  Money spent on physio is FAR more beneficial than supplements.

Knee pain is a vague description. Is it directly below the knee cap or off to one side or above the knee cap or to the back of the knee?
