Interesting conversation w/ my Derm. on accutane

Man is my Dermatologist cool. I tell him everything I'm doing and he's helped me so far w/ my back acne. All I have to do is look at an amp of test and I get acne. We've tried all kinds of meds. The last one I've tried is helping but hasn't knocked it out. I asked him today about trying accutane and what were his thoughts on it. He told me no problem, I could try it this fall. I asked him about how all I ever read is how harsh it is for you and all of the problems that are associated w/ it. He said there's nothing wrong w/ accutane except for dry lips or unless you're a female and get pregnant. He said he's prescribed it to about 3,000 patients and never had a prob. w/ it. No suicides or jaundice cases. So that's it for me. I'm def. hitting a course of it this fall and get this crap cleared for good.

theres alot more sides than those, your dermo should give you a leaflet with all the sides on for you to read cos theres quite alot you should no about if you are taking it.

it is a serious drug to take

Your dermo seems way too relaxed about accutane tbh.

As stated, a very dangerous drug.

    Yeah i too am curious?
If this is a private dermo then fair enough although the really bad side effect are rare, him understating bleeding @ssholes, dry eyes, cracked lips, sore/irritable skin is a bit naff.

cos i was wondering if he is paying for it, it is quite expensive. if the dermo wants him to buy it then i can see why the dermo seems laid back about the sides etc
