Interesting or weird ways you boost training?

Hello guys, is there an interesting or weird thing you do before you head to the gym or during working out session? So it gives a boost to your training? And gives you extra rep or set. Such as listening to cheesy music while training? Talking to yourself before you head to the gym? Or wearing your FAV boxer shorts lol

Before I workout, I put on my favourite cologne. It gives me a energy boost ;)) and it works lol and no need for caffeine or pre workout

I have a particular OCD regime driving to the gym - I must consume three jelly babies, black, red and yellow in that order - or my training session will be ruined :D

You must have loads of green and oranges ones left over, feel free to send them my way! ;)
 
I don't think I haven't any particularly weird routine. For the last set of my big lift for the day, I always switch to the same song and turn my headphones up a bit louder. It helps get me in the zone to push out the last few reps!

I stand on a bench and beat my chest gorilla fashion for 30 secs before each set.
At the end of my workout I'm so knackered I'm dragging my knuckles along the floor out of the gym.

Haha I will, Lincs Ric. I'll leave them in a bag outside Lincoln cathedral's goods exit in the morning.

Look at someone bigger or stronger before the heaviest sets to inspire max effort. Or think about particular opposition players from some of the rugby teams I face in a season and think about what I'm gonna do to them next game lol

Try some "chimp" pull ups. Hang one handed, swing to the other hand, hang one handed, then both hands do a pull up, and so on. Only do them when the gyms empty by the way.
 
I seen a guy in the gym a while ago doing an unusual exercise, dont know what there called.. Involved kneeling down at the top of a situp crunch bench with ankles under the bar, then leaning forward to horizontal. He suggested i try it, he made it look easy. I tried it, nearly did myself an hamstring injury, wont be trying it again anytime soon.

 haha this made me lol. :D
 
For me it's the motivation youtube videos that get me going. I find building up the anger within and then releasing it on the set I'm about to do really helps me.
