Internet Dongles?

I have not had internet at home ever since I moved into a new flat and have been thinking about getting a dongle for wireless internet

I know nothing about these, so does anyone here use one? What are they like for speed etc? Can you watch videos/Youtube with them? Is there any good deals out there or anything I should avoid?

I have been thinking of getting a Pay As You Go one for now as i dont want to be tied to a contract atm, but dont know where to start or if they are even any good

Any help/advice is appreciated

I found them to have poor performance compared to wired broadband.

I'm no expert on these matters but I recently bought an O2 mobile broadband dongle for a recent holiday.

It was 3Gb (I think) for £15. I did a thread on here asking questions about it and found out that for my 3GB, I should be able to browse the web for approx 2 hrs a day for a month.

When I used it I was surprised tbh as I expected it to be crap, it wasn't.

It was much faster than dial up and marginally slower than my home connection. (even drving along in the car)
I watched plenty of vids with it (redtube) anf generally used my laptop as per normal.
If you're gonna start downloading and stuff then (from what I'm told) it won't last long and you'll need to top it up again.

    I was very impressed

xvideos.com or slutload.com are both excellent.

Back to dongles.I have one on the 3 network, had it over 18 months.Very happy with it.Doing a better deal now,15GB a month for £15 on a 24 month contract.Gonna threaten to leave and get mine increased from 3GB.
