I keep on getting a storage full message on my iPhone yeah my phone memory is full but I have 14gig available in my iCloud. If i delete a load of photos and free up some space will they still be available in my iCloud?

I don't have an iPhone and I'm only gussing here but isn't you iCloud storage online? Sounds like you're saving everything to your phone storage instead do your iohone storage. Also I've heard that if you've updated to iOS 8 with an 8 gig phone you've practically used all of your memory on that?

If you delete them from your camera roll you will free up some space.  They will be available in the cloud via the photosteam but that is by no means a back up.  I think it only stores the most recent 1000 photos then the old ones drop off.

Go to Settings > General > Usage > Manage storage to see what is taking up most of the space.

I use Microsoft's OneDrive.  You get more storage for your money and as my mail email account was with them it made sense.

It auto backs up your camera roll so I regularly delete photos from my camera roll once I know they are in my OneDrive account.
