Ipod question

I have an Ipod that I've never used but want to fill it with music for cardio.

I know how to get the tracks onto it via itunes using my mac but is it like any other mp3 player (my phone for instance) in that I can also connect it to my PC and put music on it that I've obtained from sources other than itunes?

Cheers for any help

It's finally arrived....PM Neb for swaps!

I asked the same thing about a week back bro as I had no idea either

Its just an MP3 bro at the end of the day. I 'Import' tracks that ive got in my documents and then 'sync' them to the Ipod. Ive only got one of those shuffle Pods myself (the cheap ones)

Too me ages to get it to work but in the end the penny dropped so to speak.

they have to come from itunes you cant just drag and drop files on to it

what you have to do is go on file on itunes and then click add folder to libary

then click the folder where your other music is stored and then it will put it in itunes aswell so it will go on the ipod

plug the ipod in then on the left hand side of the screen it will say music video etc then lower down will say playlist, recently added etc, inbetween that will be a icon and what ever your ipod has been named click that then a page comes up that says sync

Right everyone...you can stop googling trying to find me the answer...I've sorted it.

As I'd originally set this up with a mac laptop it wouldn't work with windows. I had to format it first and restore factory settings. It then worked straight away!

    Thanks
