Yeah it was a bad loss for us, but I'm happy anyways, West Ham tied with Spud and we kept our first clean sheet away from home this year - everything seems to be moving in the right direction at the right time - end of the season when teams who started brightly (like Blackburn and Blackpool) are sinking like a safe in a swimming pool

Sublime first half by Ireland. A few stupid hospital passes in the 2nd half but it didnt marr and excellent game for us.  Declan Kidney needs to learn to make subs when they can make a difference, not with 2 mins left on the clock tho, i didnt see the point in that at all

    outclassed

Sure we outclassed England today, but we were outclassed in effectively all our other matches. It is a sweet moment for us but in the grand scheme of things provides little consolation really doesn't it? We had an abysmal tournament, and all this shows is that yet again Ireland are great at peaking too late.

England are the team of the tournament, some serious talent there and they will be scarily good when the younger contingent get a bit more experience under their belt.

From an England fan who is very disappointed, I thought the Irish played world class and made an under par England look like a bunch of drunken schoolgirls.

Well done to the paddys, very well deserved.

Yeah i have to give yas that, i've been a little frustrated this year with that kinda stuff. knowing that ireland have a ton of world class players now and they didnt show that consistently. Closest performance to last night was the france game where they played well.

im still happy tho, the lads saved at least a few blushes last night by playing like everyone knew they could

    This.
England were ropey and the Irish played better than I have seen them all tournament.
Shame we didn't get the slam but a 6 Nations title is not to be sniffed at.
