Is it okay to use straps?

Im currently bulking, but finding it v.hard to increase my weights on a few excersizes (Lat pulldown / SLDL in particular) because of my grip strength. Also, when ive finished doing SLDL i have to get my mate to pry my fingers open (no joke lol) because they are stuck in a clenched position. Im thinking this cant be good? Would it be advisable / okay to use straps?

Thanks

Yea use straps, can make a HUGE difference to how much your back can lift, esp for dead lifts and and back work really.

But to better your grip, once you start to drop the weight in the closing sets, try not to use the straps, this way your still improving, persoanlly i would only use them for back days.

I used to use straps, they're good.

BUT, I then swapped to chalk and a mixed hrip and it was actually easier ...

For things like shrugs yes there good to use so you dont concentrate too much on the grip. But chalk it is on major pulls.

yep, I was really getting pissed off. I tried hooks and straps and both were a pain imo.
I then got advised to use chalk, it's made such a difference.

Go for chalk mate, nice and cheap, better than straps
