Is it true?

If you win a novice comp on your first attempt, you are not allowed to enter another?
I am not ready for opens yet! No chance!

Well done today Keith, I didnt look like it was your first Comp.

I beleave there is no real rules about how many novice comps you do, but i think the norm is if you get ranked 3rd and higher in 3 comps then you are ready to make the move.

there is a novice and open class.

Cully is a good comp both Novice and the Open.

Last year i came 3rd in the Novice and i think Shawn came 2nd in the open.

but well worth the extra hour south for you.

I would be carefull on what you chose to enter next make sure it is a heavyer type of novice. If it is lighter you will look foolish. You did very well today. Remember with regular event training you will improve fast look for a lightish open around sept and get you name down.

I won my first Novice and moved straight into the opens!! at the end of the day would you rather be a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in a big pond?? Competing in the opens is the best learning experience you can get!!! If you do step up you just need to keep everything as personal goals, so long as you keep improving that's all that matters at first!! Placings don't really matter.

    well done 2day keith.

    You did really well.

I wouldnt do another novice. i came 8th in my first comp then went in 2 the opens. I would prefer 2 get my ass kicked by the big boys and learn than win a plastic trophy.

As i said, well done 2day, now get training for a bigger comp.
