Is it worth me adding a strength week to my hypertrophy workout program?

I've been weight lifting for a year or so now and gained a decent amount of muscle so I know what I'm doing works but i was just wondering if I dedicated 1 week to strength and the next to size would i get bigger faster because I'm getting stronger faster and am therfore able to lift heavier weights on my hypertrophy week?

    I probably wouldn't keep switching week from week but certainly no harm in utilising some strength based work as part of your routine

    As per DV, perhaps some kind of hybrid program that factors in both goals.

    Upper lower split 4x training days per week.

    Monday power upper
    Tuesday lower hypertrophy
    Wednesday off
    Thursday upper hypertrophy
    Friday lower power



    Or if you can balance it, add in a strength day in a full body format

    Squat
    Bench
    Military press
    Bent over rows.

    Agree with DV, hit some heavy low rep compound movements early on in a session then move to lighter isolation work after.
