Is there a lift that humbles you?

I don't know what my one rep max's are, but in general I feel that my lifts are fairly respectable when judged against my bodyweight (16 stone) and given the fact that I've only been seriously lifting for about a year.

That said, there is no lift that leaves me feeling as humbled as much as pull-ups.

Squats, I have stick like legs. I can bench more than I can squat in fact.

Bench press, its something which i have never managed well with. Every other lift is ever increasing.

Bench - I only use 110kg and only get 6 reps on a good day which is terrible considering I've trained for a while
Deadlifts - I only use 160kg and again only hit about 6 reps, again terrible but I have only just started doing them
Squats - Only use 140kg for about 8-10 and my knees hurt for 2 weeks... not realy my fault as my knee's are genetically inferior (IMO)

Likewise - I've always been really feeble with BP.

    Im quite the opposite

Bench is 1 exercise that I have found improvement on very quickly, managed a 100kg 1rep max couple weeks ago. My deadlift on the other hand, is 120kg, and compared to bench should be a lot higher!

I have no lift I feel is weak at the mo, but the 1st time you try Turkish get-ups...it's pretty funny how fast your ego gets checked.

    you always start of thinking:

"oh, well if I can shoulder press this much then holding it at lock-out's gotta be a piss take"
