    yes, looks normal to me, but still could have a knakerd top bushing and look normal
    but there is ment to be a gap yea, if you turn the stering the gap wil change and if the car is on a angle or uneven ground

    I will have a look at my VTR in the morning and let you know what mine looks like.Don't seem right if it is on level ground IMO.

    Can't remember seeing that gap on my car before.

    I think in previous posts ive seen, hes got a golf tdi now.

    Whatever it is, a nice clean wouldnt go a miss by the looks of things

    its a golf TDI, I just replaced the springs (due to one that had snapped) and did the top mounts too while it was all apart

    yes same both sides, the guys over at UK-MKIVS assure me this is absolutely normal after the bushes are replaced

    No the shock absorber is not coming through, unless I had a hole in the suspension turret this would not be possible. If it did then the car would be terrible to drive.
