Is turning 30 a big deal?

Is turning 30 a milestone, or just another birthday??

I'm 33 now, can't say I look or feel any different to when I was 25.

There you go, it must be true then!

Seriously, I am lucky in that I still look about mid-20s and people have commented that I haven't changed since they've known me in the last 10 years. I get the occasional grey hair which is swiftly removed! Physically, I do notice that I ache a bit more after strenuous exercise and I can't exercise soon after eating, have to leave a few hours gap else I feel terrible.

Then again I am still only 33, I think the next 10 years are when it will all start to kick in which is why I feel I need to get more serious with my fitness, particularly flexibility. I want to still be running round the squash court when I'm 65!

So in answer to the OP, no, I haven't found entering my 30s a significant event, physically speaking. Turning 30 was just another day.

On the brink of turning 30.  For me it's just another day, but my friends are trying to make a big deal of it and I genuinely can't be arsed.  Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being a miserable tvvat about it...

I've never had a big thing about milestones, even 18 really except you can legally do stuff at that age.
I'm being more morose about turning 37 this year than I was turning 36 or 35 or 30.
    Each one is worse.

If you're worried about a coincidence of the decimal system and the solar system, then your brain may have prematurely succumbed to the ceaseless decrepitude you inherited when you were born.

The days of wishing away erections may soon be behind you and if you lived in some countries actuarially these would be your final moments, but you're living in Britain in the 21st century and you're 30, so the worst that might happen is that you find a hair growing on one of your ears. Ok, I admit, that is actually quite bad.

At least you're male.  In general, I think it's worse for women.
