I have experimented with 1, 2, 3 & 5 scoops and found that 2 is the best bet for getting the desired effect without causing any insomnia etc.
5 was far too intense and I honestly felt like I was on something else.
3 is good if you are really tired but I wouldn't say the pump is any better, it is more the mental focus that is increased.
I have also found that timings can be improtant. I have taken it as close as 25 minutes before and also between 30-45 minutes before and definitely like 45 minutes best as it is noticably kicking in just before training begins and the effects last throughout the workout.
