Shoulders were feeling it from squatting yesterday - forgot o to mention on the 160 rep I hadn't loaded both sides correctly - missed 10kg off one side, so when unracked nearly fell of shoulders and had to catch it. Did pull shoulder slightly which impacted todays sesh.
Bench went ok - 2nd set real grinder of 2nd rep and wish I had filmed but needed the music. Body feeling beat up today and really had to push through low energy. Rest day tomorrow.

It was meant to be and rep felt it but video shows TNG. Bench needs some tlc next year

Its something id like to experience at some point when have more time to train. Also, too weak at moment and just working on getting stronger

Biggest mistake every aspiring PL makes is saying i'm not strong enough to enter a PL contest...just do it...you do more than enough training and lift fine...99% of lifters in meets are there to beat themselves, not win a contest. If you want to do one just do it, the experience is always worth it.

There's actually one fairly local to me through the BDFPA 'Eastern Counties Full Power Spring Open Championships' in Hockley, Essex which I am tempted to go for Mid march time although would need to deicide whether to enter equipped on unequipped. Knee sleeves count as equipped, not sure about wrist wraps for bench, looking at rule book it says nothing about belt so assume that's fine. Not keen on squatting without sleeves so could do equipped and just deadlift normally. What you think? Should be enough time for a peak up to it I think...

I really think i will. Will do after xmas as deadline 8th march. Pressing unwrapped wouldnt bother me but squatting without sleeves would. Will email a few Q’s so i know the do’s/donts etc etc to then soon.

Had an impromtu xmas lunch yesterday - 5 pints ale, was sensible tho and came back to work and went home rayher then stay go back out like I wanted to. In back of my head i was thinking you will f*ck up deadlifts friday if uour jot careful. Can feel it this morn but fresh air and some food am better. Gym soon for pressing session

Are you sure knee sleeves not allowed? They normally are, like wrist wraps...its knee wraps that are usually classed as equipped mate.

Yeh this is a quote from front page of their rules on website:
  
Knee sleeves may be worn in the EQUIPPED Division only.  
They must not more than 30cm in total length. They must be made of a 1 Ply material   
From now on NO TYPE of shirt that is considere compressive is allowed to be worn at WDFPF events. This is defined as any type of shirt that is figure hugging and has elastic properties   
EQUIPPED MEANS EQUIPPED – any lifter entering the equipped competition must be equipped as indicated below: 
1.Squat – A squat suit or Knee wraps/Sleeves or a combination of both 
2.Bench Press – A recognised Bench Shirt is MANDATORY 
3. Deadlift – A DL suit. Knee wraps/Sleeves or a combination of both   

 
Looking at this I will have to enter unequipped and re-train squat without knee sleeves although will email to check.
 
Mate I cant wait - gunna enjoy a short break over xmas and Jan time focused and ready to peak towards this.

Short blast session today. Pressing really coming on now, wanted reps rather then pushing weight today. Start of year could not even push press 60kg for 1 so strength is much better. Decided to add tempo part of squats - really controlled slow descent keeping form tight, slight paused at bottom and exploding up. Dips added another set at 20kg and hard work but nailed reps. May put a vid up of weighted dips next week for form check. Pushdown heavy but fun.
