Looked pretty solid, certainly not as wobbly as the camera man Knees staying in line now alright?

Cheers mate - cameraman thought I was going for another rep as looked easy. Was happy to just moved PB forward as 1qt heavy attempt this year and LB too! 150 i'm confident ill nail that soon

Pulled weight back this week as wanted to work on a longer pause and set up on bar. Reps were paused properly on chest and then driven up. Whole body was much tighter upon setup/unracking/movement

DB Press - Aim for 10 reps

Had nothing left - right arm still behind on last 2 reps each set. Would of failed attempting another rep. Hands are aching as well but to be expected from gripping.
 
Plan for tomorrow is either Deadlifts or may save them till Friday/Sat to rest lower back as its feel DOMY more as will be going for 170 3x3. If not may have a mobility/yoga session.

Decided to deadlift today rather then leave as in the mood!

Was aiming for 3x3 on the 170 so frustrating I didn't hit it but not end of the world. The first 170 flew up, 2nd set was solid but 3rd set 2nd rep was a grind to get up with good form I knew 3rd rep was lose form so left it there. Next week will go got 180 doubles or PB attempt depending how I feel. I will add though that deads just feel good at moment and confidence is high on them.

Forearms in particular are massively pumped today. Hands feel nice and achey as well.
 
Have to mention guy I was watching today - he came into wards end of my session 6'4 and big dude. Had deadlift shoes on, shin protection, belt, straps, loud/grunty when psyching him out and maxed out on 100kg deadlift?! Form was ok. Very strange sight. Could of been rehabbing injury but does he need all that gear? All the gear and no idea!
 
Up hospital tomorrow for maternity ward visit and more baby shopping. Hoping to squeeze a shoulder session in tomorrow or sat if time allows.

You keep mentioning grinders but no vids!

1 dropped rep isn’t that bad, do you think you could have hit it if form went a little?

The difference between bodybuilding and strength building is form can (and is expected ) to deviate ever so slightly from ‘perfect’ when yo get into the maxish weights. Your training should always be as perfect form as possible but don’t be afraid to push it out of your comfort zone as long as you feel safe doing it.

No PB is ever perfect! If it was perfect, you’d have more on board which means you hadn’t given it your all!

I reckon go for it.. 180 dub won’t do much for you now.. rest up, eat big, get in the zone and pull a PB!

My PB was perfect
 
TBH, considering the tech adjustments etc I wouldn't be pushing DLs to the point of risking breakdown, even if only slight. I have very very rarely ever done a DL rep where I suspected I might compromise some form

I do prefer keeping tight form where possible. I do feel ready to go for this next weke so see what weight i deceide on the day - hoping the gods are kind to me and get me to 200.

Lack of videos - just like the music as part of my buildup/psych up. Will get one of my pals there to film and send to me.

If you go for a PB what will it be? How many more reps were there on the first set of 170kg? Form breakdown on a max deadlift is always possible..it is a max lift after all.

Either 190 or 200 depending how lifts feel when building up to it. The first set maybe 2 more reps

170kg x 5 should easily net you 200kg...agree with Animal, rest up, bloat up night before and pull 200kg :)

Agree with Ox 170x5 should put you around 200kg which is a big milestone to hit - go for it!
