You start your bench with the bar quite far down your body, easy paused single tho, better set up would have you more easily

Noted thanks. Bench is def the weakest and needs more work

Now obviously if you aren't looking to be all out PLer and there's some BBer in there you don't have to be too anal over it all BUT either way you could do with making it more efficient

I'll have a read of that as well. Nearly all the heavy benchers I know +200kgs have used nothing more than brute strength. I reckon everyone could do with a proper lesson.

That's a great article DV has posted. It's a study looking at elite benchers (Kaz and Mike Bridges) and holds much merit. I badly dislocated my shoulder was a very strong bencher before (235kg for 2 tng) but have found things hard since (getting back there). That article helped me immensely as if you press using the path shown it shifts the load off of the shoulders and more onto the chest.

Great for improving your single rep (chest a stronger muscle) but also great for development/bodybuilding as it allows you to train your chest more effectively when benching. From my years of benching and coaching the reason some people don't respond or get a good chest workout with the barbell flat bench is simply because they aren't doing it right for their chosen application - bodybuilding, Powerlifting etc...

Definitely very helpful and will be a 'go to' for bench for me. I suppose with me and bench as I don't enjoy it no where near as much as Squat/Deadlift it doesn't get the TLC on study and form tweaking that it should

It's a great article mate and once you've perfected the pushing path (can take a couple months) just feels so much more natural and safe on the shoulders. It also allows you to grind heavy weights out much better as your being mechanically more efficient and using muscles groups correctly. I find the transition from chest working to when the triceps take over (lockout) is very smooth.

Very tired today - body is feeling it. Reduced my calories as of last weekend as near 4,000 on the training I was doing was making me a soft mess bodywise. Just smaller portion sizes at moment and less snacks should help drop some bf around midsection. If strength falls then will up calories/add snacks as necessary. Still massively enjoying the accessories on top of the usual grind body is feeling stretched and achey and not had that feeling for a long time.

41.25 x 10

X Trainer 10 mins
First 5 mins 11kmh then sprints to 20kmh for 20secs to 11kmh for 20 secs for further 5 mins

Everytime I film a deadlift my body feels different from how I usually pull - I don't normally go down as far on 1st rep before pulling as I like to keep same stance for all reps but went to far down today, stick a camera on me and tend to do it ffs. Anyways video of 160 and 170 up - front and side angle. Apart from the bounce up down stuff I don't normally do any tips/comments always welcome. Still feel I could be more explosive off floor. 160's felt good enough and more in the tank but 170 form went on 3rd rep and just wasn't there. Rest of fluff nice pump and bonus core/abs work for a change. Back to a structured plan next week for my sessions now I have done my 1RM testing sessions, hoping for a shoulder/BB garden session at weekend as taking tomorrow and poss Friday off gym.

lol, the camera, no matter how hard you try to ignore it always affects stuff. Except if you're DV, the lens loves that man.

Hard to see from vids but to me looks like you need a bit more of a sit back and a little more lat activation mate, don't need that big hip drop thing either really, just wasting energy, very nice work though mate :)

Was going to just start typing pretty much exactly that.... oh, and also to suggest you embrace the camera, work it, love it, own it
